Description:
This is a simple desk accessory to change the device volume from any program.
It also has a toggle feature that can automatically toggle your volume at a set time or delay.
What is a desk accessory? A desk accessory is a program that you can launch from any program without having to exit the running program. It is not a hack.

Very simple and quick to use, which is why I prefer this DA over VolumeDA. Works great on my OS 5 Zire 72. I run it with either DA Launcher or McPhling. If you prefer the option to toggle the sound(s) yourself rather than with the internal toggle switch of SoundDA, then you can use pDateTool (a part of pToolSet - a command bar/launcher app) to set a reminder alarm in DateBk5 (or whatever you use).

Goal is perfect but on my Treo 90 (PalmOS 4.1) it always generates a Fatal Exception. I run several other DS'a just fine. I'm using X-Master and Easy Launcher to run SOundDA.

You arr wrong. This add-on will work on Palm OS 5. DA launcher isn't OS limited like HackMaster. Try it yourself.

Please, please, please make this work with Palm OS 5! I have a Palm Tungsten|C, and hacks are no longer supported in OS 5. I know that SoundDA itself is not a hack, but it requires DA Launcher, which IS a hack, and thus it will not work on OS 5. See http://www.79bmedia.com/hacks/hack5.html for more info. Anyway, I personally don't need this functionality as a DA, but I am very interested in the toggle feature. When I'm in a meeting and set my Palm to silent, I always forget to turn the sound back on afterwards, and then I miss my alarms the next day. Could this toggle feature be implemented as a separate app, or possibly a preferences control panel? If so, I would really appreciate it! Thanks, Alan
