You can display system stats (such as: CPU load graphs, CPU temperatures, free disk space), news alerts, stock indexes, WinAmp graphs, etc.

PalmOrb works by pretending to be (or emulating) a real LCD; a Matrix Orbital LK204-25 LCD.

So you can use existing software that expects a Matrix Orbital display!

So, if you've got a PalmOS PDA laying around gathering dust, then make good use of it!

I use it to display graphs of cpu stats: fan speeds, temps, cpu load. Also to show the lastest news (RSS feed) from slashdot.org! Geekness or what! :-) I like it so much that I've modded my case so the palm display is visible though the case of my computer - it looks great with the back light on!

NB: The 0.9 release (dated 2002) has been reported to crash some palms - if this happens to you then please try the alpha release I've just uploaded (v0.92a1) which is built from the new code base and already reported to be more stable that the previous release.
