Well well . . . in these times have "half measures" with Palm OS hardware and overcharging greedy developers . . . once again along comes Mike McCollister to save the day. I have used CCrypt for quite some time and am DELIGHTED a new version is out. This is truly a simple, straightforward but EXCELLENT APP for when you have perhaps one private "element" of an address or memo and don't want to encrypt or password protect the whole database for a couple of lines of text. If YOU are attentive and set it up correctly, the PROGRAM is attentive and does its job . . . well. It can save countless amounts of time not having to wait for an entire app to be protected, and yet still give great security - ESPECIALLY if you don't need something unprotected each time you use your PDA. Things like family members' account numbers or "off the record" client meeting notes are now safe from prying eyes. Want the addresses of your utility companies in the address book? Fine - just encrypt the account information. A truly "small and wonderful" app like the old days, I'm grateful to Mike for this update!!
