39-Key FREE Graffiti Control Center
This is a freeware version of the Silkyboard - most portable keyboard. It dramatically extends the Graffiti area use: you can tap new "keys" or write Graffiti at the same time with no switches!
The only limitation of the freeware version is the abscense of the letters on the layout. You can write them with Graffiti as you did it before with no regards to the new "keys" - right on top of them.
Layout is optimized to simplify its use even without the overlays. It is easy to locate* any of 39 keys due their smart placements and enjoy all the power and convenience of the Silkyboard - FREE!
* All the keys are located in the corners or close to the boundaries and middles of the original Graffiti areas.
Why we call it "CONTROL CENTER"?
- Key actions are not limited to text input! Silkyboard also lets you:
- Quickly launch your favorite applications
- Create shortcuts for routines, like ".com"
- Access menu commands, like Cut, Copy, Paste, etc.
- Navigate through the forms and fields
- Launch DA (Desktop Accessories, more info)
- You can even compose MACROS - complex command sequences, built of the rich set of the basic commands mentioned above!
CUSTOMIZE IT!
You can redefine any meanings of any key and build your own layout! Each key may have up to 6 meanings - Tap, Hold plus 4 directional slides. So you can place an incredible amount of actions to your good old Graffiti area!
OVERLAYS
Of course, it is hard to memorize all the rich features which you can place on the Graffiti area. That is why an overlay may help a lot. Unfortunately, we can't provide you with free overlays :) So you can print your own owerlays using layout.bmp.
But ... Look... If you enjoy the "39-keys" so much ... Why to mess with home-made stickers? Spend just a few dollars to get much more powerfull, full-featured product - Silkyboard - with carefully designed and extra durable overlays!

This program is great, except the space thing. However, THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN UPDATED UNDER A NEW NAME. This program is now know as 'SilkMaster' and can be found at www.pilotzone.com/palm/preview/313969.html. It is exactly the same as 39KEYS except the built in instructions are easier to understand, and in addition to fixing the space problem, they've eliminated the space button altogether, allowing more space for graffiti characters.

I, too, have a problem with 'space'. Anytime any kind of 'space' key is logged it pops up the DA list. This happens anytime 39 keys is active on the unit. It happens creating a'space' in graffiti, or in any virtual keyboard whether that be the 39 Key graffiti-area board or the Palm virtual keyboard. I'm running a Palm Vx with OS v4.1. This would be a GREAT program once this get's fixed.

I have the same problem on Palm Vx with the space key (it also happens if I write graffiti space stroke) an --empty-- list pops up on lower left corner, I presume that is the DA Launcher list. Can anyone help because otherwise this is an excellent program.

This would be a great piece of software, except when I tap the space button or enter a Grafitti space a DA launcher list pops up. This is on a Sony CLIE SJ-30.

I downloaded 39-Keys and now my CLIE is totally non-functional. None of the keys or buttons work. I need a way to delete 39-Keys from the handheld and pc without totally uninstalling the Clie software. When I reinstall it, I will lose all my data. Plus, I need to get 39-Keys off my pc.
