Description:
Centroid (formerly known as TreoSpot) is a Location Based Reminder and Phone Profile Settings utility for Palm Centro GSM smartphones.
Once you set-up the Centroid database, you can enable alerts and phone profiles when you are in a specific area. This is useful in case you need to remember something (e.g., buy groceries, etc.) when you are in a particular place.
Preferences
Add new locations to DB: When Centroid detects a new loction not in its database, it can be added to the database. This setting must be enabled during initial operation as there is not other way to build the Centroid locations database.
Add automatically: Centroid can add new locations to the database without prompting for the location name if this setting is enabled. This is useful is you don't want to be disturbed while driving etc. The GID will be used for the location name in this case. It is recommended that you enable this option.
Ignore CellID in GID: Under certain conditions (e.g., in dense areas) it may be useful to select this option to discriminate GID identification. Enabling this option is NOT recommended - use it only if you have frequent cell registrations.
Once you build the database, you can tap on the location to pop-up the "Edit Location" form, you can enter or edit the details as required. The options are self-explanatory.
Features:
Automatic collection of GIDs.
Change phone settings when you arrive at a particular location. (e.g., forward calls to your home land-line when you arrive there).
You can set the Theme, TimeZone (experimental), Mute Phone and System Sounds and Call-Forwarding.
Alert at a particular location (e.g., set-up an alert to purchase groceries on the way back from work, when you are near your favourite store).
Timed phone settings profile cancellation.
True one-handed operation.
Tiny PRC.

Shame it's been changed to Centro only - won't run at all on Treo650. Back to the old version for me.
