I really like this little ClockPop plug-in (a.k.a "XTERN"), but the documentation is not quite sufficient, so here's a little help: First of all, if you don't already have it, you need to install Hackmaster 0.9 (or equivalent). IMPORTANT NOTE: CP-Uptime 1.0 doesn't seem to work right with Uptime version 1.3.1, but if you obtain Uptime version 1.2b3 (an easy Internet search), you should get perfect results. For ClockPop, I thought I downloaded version 2.7, but the hack component says 2.8 on the screen. Anyway, install BOTH of the Uptime files (uptime.prc and uptime-hack.prc), BOTH of the ClockPop files (clockPop.prc and CPSkins.prc), AND the CP-Uptime file (CP-Uptime.prc). Now run Hackmaster and enable ClockPop and Uptime Hack. Note: At this point, until the next time you perform a soft reset, Uptime might show incorrect soft reset information. Next, run the "ClockPop Skins" program to configure the ClockPop screen items (notice the "Left" and "Right" buttons on the top of the screen; you can configure up to 3 lines each that will show in the upper-left and upper-right-hand corners of the ClockPop screen). You can type the following entries manually, or you can place your cursor where you want it, tap on the [XTERN] button, select CP-Uptime from the dropdown box, then enter either 0, 1, 2, or 3 on the "Arg 1" line. The possible resulting entries for CP-Uptime are [XTERN:CP-Uptime:0] which will show the total "power on" time (or "running time") since the last soft reset, [XTERN:CP-Uptime:1] which will show the total time (including "powered off" time) since the last time you reset the "Battery Time" item from the menu in the Uptime application, [XTERN:CP-Uptime:2] which will show the total "power on" time since the last time you reset the "Battery Time" from the Uptime program, and [XTERN:CP-Uptime:3] which will show the total "backlight on" time since the last time you reset the "Backlight Time" from the Uptime program. When working in the ClockPop Skins program, you can tap on "Test" for a preview. Tap on "Save" when you are happy. Now you can press and hold your Datebook button to see your modified ClockPop pop-up screen. Every time you replace your batteries or disconnect from your charger after a full charge, remember to run Uptime and use the menus to reset your "Battery Time" and "Backlight Time".
